Privacy Policy

Introduction
Streakeats LLC ("Streakeats," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Streakeats website and mobile web application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Service as a customer or as a restaurant operator.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address, display name, and account role (customer or restaurant operator). You may also provide a home ZIP code or location used to show nearby restaurants.
Restaurant operator information. For restaurant operators, we may collect business contact information, role or title, restaurant affiliation, verification status, listing and application submissions, Google Maps connection details, staff invitations, and account activity related to managing a location.
Streak and visit data. When you check in at a participating restaurant, we record visit dates, streak counts, perks unlocked, and verification method (for example, PIN or QR code). Restaurant operators can see limited information needed to verify your visit, such as your display name and streak status at their location.
Restaurant and listing data. Restaurant operators provide business details, menu information, perk tiers, photos, and Google Maps listing information used to verify and display their restaurant on the Service.
Payment information. Streakeats LLC does not currently charge for the Service. If we offer paid plans or subscriptions in the future (for example, for restaurant operators), payments will be processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. The processor may collect billing and payment information according to its own privacy policy.
Technical data. We automatically collect standard log and device information, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, to operate and secure the Service.
Analytics. We may use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Service, improve features, and detect issues. These tools may collect information such as pages viewed, device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, and interactions with the Service. We do not currently use Google Analytics; if we add named analytics services in the future, we will update this policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
Some cookies and similar technologies are essential to operate the Service, such as authentication and security. Others, such as analytics technologies, help us understand and improve the Service. Where required, we will ask for consent before using non-essential cookies.
We may also use local storage to remember preferences (for example, dismissed tips or selected restaurant context). You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work properly if essential cookies or similar storage are disabled.
We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
How we use your information
We use information to:
- Provide streak tracking, perks, and in-person verification at participating restaurants
- Show nearby restaurants and relevant perk information
- Operate tools for restaurant operators, including staff access, visit history, and listing management
- Send service-related communications, such as account, security, or waitlist updates
- Improve the Service, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service and policies
- Comply with legal obligations
Legal bases for processing
Where required by applicable law, we process personal information based on one or more legal bases, including to provide the Service and perform our agreement with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as securing and improving the Service, and with your consent where required.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share information in these situations:
With restaurants you visit. When you visit a restaurant, we may share your display name, current streak status at that location, perk eligibility, and visit verification status with restaurant staff so they can validate your check-in and apply perks. We do not share your email address, home location, or full visit history at other restaurants with restaurant operators.
- With service providers — such as hosting, authentication, email, maps, and analytics vendors that help us run the Service under contractual confidentiality obligations
- For legal reasons — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information
Location information
Customers may provide a ZIP code or similar location to discover nearby restaurants. We use this information to sort and display restaurants in your area. You can update location preferences in your account settings or location bar where available.
If you choose to allow browser or device location access, we may store coordinates derived from that permission to show nearby results. We do not collect precise location in the background unless you allow it through your browser or device settings.
Google Maps and third-party services
We may use Google Maps or similar services to verify restaurant listings, display address and location details, and help customers find nearby participating restaurants. Google Maps information may be used to confirm business location, show listing details, and power nearby discovery.
The Service may link to or integrate with other third-party sites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
International data transfers
Some of our service providers may be located outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. When we transfer personal information to them, we use appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved mechanisms, to ensure your information receives adequate protection.
Data retention
We retain account information while your account is active. After account deletion, we may retain limited records as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, maintain security, and keep accurate business records.
Streak and visit records may be retained as needed to provide streak functionality, support restaurant reporting, prevent abuse, and maintain service integrity. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@streakeats.com.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, including if you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar privacy laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to request a copy of your information in a portable format, subject to applicable law. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, correct inaccuracies, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your data. To make a request, email us at privacy@streakeats.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
You can stop receiving non-essential emails by using unsubscribe links where provided. Account-related messages may still be sent when necessary to operate the Service.
Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age, or the minimum age required by applicable law (e.g., 16 in some jurisdictions under GDPR), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
